Frequently Asked Questions

"The objective of a referee is not to get mentioned. I tell a lot of young referees that not being mentioned is king. If you can achieve that, that then it has been a pretty good game."

Don’t worry! We provide our members with a rule book and casebook to help you study. Additionally, we receive training at each of our meetings including presentations and video analysis.  As first year officials, you will meet with our Head Mentor a half hour before each meeting, where you will cover introductory topics.  Additionally, we have on-the-field training during both practices and scrimmages prior to the start of the season.  We also start our new members with youth games, and you work your way up to Varsity.  So don’t feel overwhelmed.  Plus, we have a great group of guys and gals who are always willing to help with any questions you may have.
